Previously, we saw how to access the program; now let’s see how to enter the Project Gallery, how to open and modify them.
If you select any project available, you’ll be able to copy and modify it.
Tinkercad is powered by many developers, designers, and 3D enthusiasts who help the platform to develop.
Not only Tinkercad is a designer program, but also it is a huge archive where you can download the available projects.
This is a copy of Torus Patterns and it’ll always be available on your Project Home. You can also look for it writing in the search bar “Torus Patterns”
Modify the .stl file is easier here than on other softwares like Meshmixer or SketchUp.
You can adjust the .stl file according to your needs, you can divide its parts and modify them. This way you’ll create a new 3D model based on what are your needs.
Previously, I explained that modifying a “proprietary 3D file” (it means you can save your work only using the program that created it) is much easier.
If you import a .stl file as a casual file the original Infos are transformed in Mesh.
You can export your project by clicking on “export” on the top right corner. You’ll be able to open it in a slicer software or in any other 3D modeling program.
